The rain comes down consistently in a slight roar against the rooftops on the streets of current day London, the fog settles in also as the night is coming upon the city. It’s not always known to all that walk the streets the dangers or worlds that hide beneath the surface of reality, this however becomes clearer to people working in what are known as cells. London has a cell of hunters called the Seekers, hunters are beings that unveil the supernatural world and deliver their form of justice to it. On this occasion as day forms into night we find Kelvin Sander walking the streets covered up from the rain but ever diligent to the surroundings, he is a seeker who is bound by his oath to uphold and defend against any supernatural interference in this world. In his 37 years on this Earth, he has witnessed many things that no one has seen, nor would they want to see, he has vowed to protect the humans on this Earth from the supernatural oppositions they face, regardless of whether someone knows this or not. He has been following leads on a new cult that seems to be popular in the city, ancient wrath who seem to be devoted to the vampire clans and are ghouls (minions) of these clans. Most of the supernatural activity in London is made up of vampire and some werewolf activities, many other supernatural being exists, these are just the dominant ones and this new cult seems to feel they are creating a new movement in the name of old gods as they see it. Kelvin specializes in the art of infiltration to get into these operations or organizations to weed out the leaders, expose what’s happening then move along, Kelvin is 6 feet tall and slim build with salt and pepper hair so he appears older then what he really is, he is not a brawler or fighter type at all and does carry a good size dagger plus a sawed off shotgun with dragon breath rounds when he can acquire them, tonight is no exception. Kelvin set up a meeting with Lawrence, one of the cult locals who is trying to recruit new members. He gave some line to him to convince him that he is devoted to the ancient kind, how they are superior blah, blah. Before he gets to the houseboat where Lawrence is temporarily hanging, he is scoping the area out, Kelvin as a young boy realized he has an ability to sense the supernatural through a gem on a necklace found in his great grandfathers chest in his basement which in many cases have saved him in the past, he just wishes it saved more of his friends and family in and out of the seeker cell, his had researched his family history and found his great grandfather worked in a cell to accomplish similar things as he does now. He also can thwart supernatural beings’ abilities they often use on humans and others, this has definitely been something he has perfected to the point that he does not need anything to focus the energy on, his stance and eyes do the job.
Kelvin approaches the docks; the night air is thick with the fog here more so and filters much less light except for the boats with a few docks’ lights. He reaches to grab his necklace which has a soft blue gem that does vibrate ever so slightly as he focuses on the area in and around the houseboat in question, his senses reach to every being or object all over, he senses no supernatural presence at all. He breathes a little sigh of relief and makes his way closer to the boat, as he approaches there are some tall and thin figures, human looking that are watching him carefully as Kelvin moves closer. Normally he would notice them however after his focus was on the area for supernatural signals nothing registers with these figures, they are watchdogs for the area working for the clan. Most of these watchdogs are weak lackeys just trying to make a name or be praised by the clans they serve; some are just looking to be accepted. Lawrence is out front, he sees Kelvin and greets him, “Well James, glad you could make it.” Kelvin is careful in using names he has procured identities for from the cell so that if they try tracing anything it is clean, won’t rouse suspicion in any way. Kelvin goes into the houseboat and inside is a fairly sparse and almost college dorm small to it, bottles are on the floor but for the most part fairly clean, he sits to discuss the organization and their goals etc. He makes some good queries into what these organizations directives are, he is smooth when he talks to Lawrence, he’s done this a thousand times before to probe into the nitty gritty of things. Lawrence seems to have pretty good composure, does not want to really give him what he is looking for but he will take some of this information to work on later for sure, Lawrence has lots of irons in the fire but seems comfortable with Kelvin at the moment. Kelvin gently and graciously asks about any trafficking of items, maybe drugs or some other easy to move product, inside Kelvin knows he is addicted to using pain pills, not to a crippling effect but he always looks to score a few when he can just in case. He does not feel the urge to utilize the pills tonight, Lawrence does not seem to answer to any of that query anyways, he does look at his phone as if waiting for something, he’s checking Kelvin’s background as the James identity, he gets a text back from a colleague shortly afterwards with no results, he seems clean to him. After about 2 hours Lawrence now has felt he has a good grasp on James(Kelvin) so he lets him know in a few nights they have a meeting at a local pub called the Quill and Ink, nice little place that caters to the more sophisticated clientele, no way that someone of Lawrence's caliber would be arranging that, might be a clan front or someone in the clan has some serious bank to arrange or rent the place for the night, “I’ll need to scope this out later” , He says to himself. He agrees to meet up in a few nights over at Quill and Ink pub, some serious investigating will need to be done, he will speak to other cell members to see who might have more information regarding the people lurking at this establishment more specifically. He leaves the houseboat with the rain slowing down considerably compared to when he entered, now he carefully walks away then makes sure no one follows him, he rests at a bench and hits a quick pub nearby to throw off any person who might be following him.
Kelvin often is leery when he walks the city not just because of the supernatural presences around but he has a stalker that seems to pop up when he least expects it, Quinn, an ex-cell member who used to run with him but fell out of favor was let go and now seems to be obsessed with Kelvin. Rumors say he fell to a vampires suggestive powers which left him in a different state of mindset as well as physically he had changed, feeble like is stature but has a good amount of energy, Kelvin suspects he has tainted vampire blood in his system which won’t leave but also won’t turn him based on his genetics which he knew about from working in the cell together. As he walks home his phone goes off and it’s his alarm system, he has a nice townhouse in Chelsea which is equipped with a good state of the art security system since he deals with Quinn and also supernaturals possibly. The intruder seems to be neither of the previously mentioned but a street person or drunk lost who tried getting in the side door, he failed and left quickly so Kelvin was not as worried but still approached his flat with caution. He makes it back home and there is no incident when he arrives, he settles back with a beer but is up for another 6 hours contemplating what is happening in the city and with this new cult. His evening seems to be pretty chill, his phone is silent and he decides after a while to sleep and see what he can do tomorrow as he delves deeper into this world of the supernatural.
