Season 1: Chapter 1- Doomed salvage run

Amalric Harrison- Nomad

Born in the distant galaxy on the planet Rongomai, he is a rugged traveler with scraggly dark hair and a uneven short beard. Known for the extreme survival instincts he has been going to many different places around the galaxy, space stations, sub stations, mining colonies, you name it he has been there. He has not been planet side for 8 years, he does not like to be stagnant however he has been running from a bounty on his head put out by Digistar Corp for the past several years. He originally was hired to scavenge a wreck near a collapsing black hole and managed to just make it out alive however lost a fair amount of the tech and data for them, they have not been happy and have sent out many hunters for him.

His ship is called the Anhur, a patchwork of hull with many affixed areas that seem barely bonded however still reliable for the most part, the helm systems are erratic at times. It has been on several occasions he narrowly escaped from a treacherous job and his massive scar down his left leg which pains him after a long space flight reminds him almost daily of how he has scrapped through his existence. Thanks to a little mech bot named 9EST0, he calls his Nesto but those are the call letters used by the company who built it, he is a repair bot that also has skills in navigation to assist where needed. He has a way with how he approaches people to maintain constant work flow, he is honest almost to a fault but that sincerity gains him lots of good contacts in the galaxies he travels. Most notably he likes to visit an Exomoon called Selvens trading post, far removed in the other planets of the Zenith galaxy (one of the biggest ones) it allows him to relax plus he is well known there and respected.

Amalric has been contacted by Urocyte, a company specializing in goods for mining operations all over the galaxies numerous asteroid belts, the ship Sevestopol has dropped contact and based on current readings they fear its dead in space so they want him to investigate and salvage what he can off the ship before it disintegrates. The more goods that can be salvaged the more coin and favors Amalric will obtain, this is just the job he needed, he gets geared up and ready to fly towards the vessel.

Salvage job: Upon arriving in the vicinity of the vessel it is obviously very damaged, starting to list, so speed is of the essence! Amalric pulls close to the airlock to set the magnalocks in securely as he possibly can so he can board quickly. First room off the air lock is the observation deck, a large room with windows spanning from floor to ceiling which when things are less chaotic you would gander at the stars and planets, not now as he looks out at the other end of the ship splintering all over, he needs to move quickly. As the doors open out he sees a tool locker room, lots of storage space that allows for this ship to house all the necessary things to keep it functioning, well that is a pile of crazy metal mess at the moment with pieces of metal floating all around. As he scours the room he finds a data file which is incriminating footage of what happened here, as he watches this recording he sees that the ship was sabotaged by an engineer who was planted possibly by a rival faction or corporation, the recording is staticky but he has a lot that is very visible so he keeps the data file. As he progresses to the next area it is the workshop where they utilize many of the tools from the other room, this room has an exceptional amount of broken items, looks like this has the makings of more sabotage.

Further inside he comes across a laboratory room, jackpot! Many of the items he was sent to gather are accessible inside here or at least now available to pick up as he rifles through the drawers and cabinets. Most of the specialized mining components are all here, special optic laser drill bits, indestructible alloy drill heads and more all set in this room. As he continues to move through his oxygen use drains faster, he must be diligent as he passes the communications array room most of this area is nonfunctional, no wonder they lost contact plus he feels someone is hiding what happened here, thankfully the escape pod section is connected right next door and seem functional! As he looks out the pod windows he sees a section of ship break off, an exercise room apparently as gym equipment bounces off the hull and windows of the pods, this is not good! He manages to prep the pods so when he really needs to jump he can do it efficiently, as he enters the next section it is a security office with a wall of monitors, some working but also the cameras set outside the ship show what's now accelerating outside with activity. Sections of the ship are now splintering as he sees the tool lockers, workshop and laboratory explode as the ship rumbles excessively, Amalric is a veteran nomad, not much worries him however this is now a sign to really bolt out of this vessel. Acting swi9ftly he maneuvers to the escape pods with several cases of parts to return for Urocyte , feeling confident it's a good haul he boards the pod and hits the eject lever hard, as it drops quickly off the ship he untethers his ship via remote and mounts the pod onto his hull where he can now board with 9EST0 ready to jump to hyper speed, he seems relieved but also with a touch of adrenaline he thrives off of after a successful mission.

Epilogue: Amalric returns to Urocytes HQ with his haul, they are very pleased he has recovered the pieces he did plus all the insight to what happened to the Sevestopol as well. For a job well done he gets 12 credits which he finally can get that ship overhaul he desperately needs, for the future missions he knows now that he can have better odds at success. He also gets a favor from Urocyte, a priority docking pass that spans many galaxies, this will be huge when he needs to dock during crazy busy times plus get a front row seat to load and unload as needed. As he sits at the local bar with his cold drink, he reflects on what other opportunities he will be given with this new and improved ship with some perks!
